saswatlife is the practice name of Natraj Thapa, working as a Business Systems Architect. The practice is registered in India and operates entirely online. Throughout this page, "I" means the practice and "you" means the person or business reading it.
This site describes an approach to business systems design. It is information, not an offer, and nothing on it forms a contract. It does not carry accounts, sign in, payment, or any form that collects your details. Reading it creates no obligation on either side.
Work begins with a conversation about how your business currently operates. Anything beyond that conversation is agreed separately and in writing before it starts, covering what is being designed or built, what it will cost, what you are responsible for providing, and when it is expected to be delivered. Where this page and a written agreement differ, the written agreement governs.
A diagnosis is only as good as what it is given. Where information is withheld or wrong, the design built on it will be too.
Once the agreed fees for a piece of work are paid in full, the custom source code, data models, schemas and documentation produced specifically for you belong to you. I keep ownership of the general methods, patterns, reusable components and know how that existed before the work or that I develop independently of it, and I remain free to use those elsewhere. Third party software, libraries and services carry their own licences, which pass to you on their own terms and not on mine.
How your business works is your business. Information you share in the course of an engagement is treated as confidential and is not disclosed to anyone else, except where you agree to it or where the law requires it. This continues after the work ends.
A system is designed to meet the requirements agreed in writing. No guarantee is made about revenue, growth, cost savings, or any other commercial outcome, because those depend on how a business uses what it is given. Software is not warranted to be free of defects. Where a defect in delivered work is reported within the support period set out in the written agreement, it is corrected without further charge.
To the extent Indian law permits, my total liability arising from any engagement is limited to the fees actually paid for that engagement, and I am not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business, or loss of data. Nothing here limits liability for fraud or for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.
A delivered system may depend on services run by other companies, such as hosting, payment processing, messaging or cloud infrastructure. Those services are governed by their own terms and pricing, which can change. I am not responsible for their availability, and their charges are yours unless the written agreement says otherwise.
Either side may end an engagement in writing. Work completed up to that point is payable, and anything already paid for and delivered stays yours. Work in progress is handed over in the state it has reached.
These terms may be revised. The date at the top shows when the current version took effect, and a revision applies to work agreed after that date, not to work already underway.
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Guwahati, Assam have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
