The person
Natraj Thapa
I am the founder of saswatlife, and I work from Assam, India.
The turn came at thirty five. I was searching, quietly, for the one domain I could give the rest of my working life to, something worth building slowly and leaving behind. The answer had been sitting in plain sight. Every opportunity I had ever created for myself had come through communication. So had nearly everything I had spoiled. The same instrument, cutting both ways. Once I saw that, I could not unsee it: communication was never one of my skills. It was the thing underneath all of them.
saswatlife grew out of that recognition. I began giving it shape a piece at a time, and step by step it moved from the edge of my life to the centre, until the other pursuits were set aside. And because I had watched communication build and break things in my own life, I never believed failure at it was a matter of talent. Something specific turns the outcome, somewhere specific. Finding that place became the work, and the work became the practice.
The practice is built on one conviction: communication problems are curable. Not softened, not worked around. Cured. I have yet to meet a person whose difficulty in being heard was a missing talent. It is always a locatable breakdown, and located things can be fixed.
saswatlife is a small practice by design. I work with a limited number of people at a time, personally, because diagnosis is attention and attention does not scale. If that sounds like the kind of room you want to work in, the door is below.
