saswatlife is the practice name of Natraj Thapa, working as a Business Systems Architect. This page sets out what happens to money already paid if an engagement is cancelled or ends early. It sits alongside the terms of work, and where the two differ, the written agreement for the engagement governs.
This site does not take payment itself. Amounts are agreed in writing for each engagement, and paid by bank transfer, UPI, or a payment link sent directly, never through a form on this site.
If an advance is paid to secure a start date and the engagement is cancelled before any work has begun, the advance is returned in full.
Once work has started, what has already been done is payable, and any amount paid beyond that is returned. Nothing already delivered and paid for is withheld because the engagement ended early.
Costs already committed on your behalf to a third party, such as a software licence, a domain, or a cloud service bought specifically for the engagement, are not returned once that party has been paid. Those are named and agreed in writing before they are incurred, never assumed.
A refund is returned by the same method the original payment was made, to the same account it came from. It is initiated within a few business days of the cancellation being confirmed in writing, and the time it takes to reach your account after that depends on your bank.

This policy may be revised. The date at the top shows when the current version took effect, and a revision applies to engagements agreed after that date, not to one already underway.
This policy is governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Guwahati, Assam have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from it.
