Delivery and presence, further
Rhythm
Vary the flow so the shape of the speech carries meaning.
The gapEvenly paced, mechanically repetitive, or uniformly rushed.
When to use it
On anything longer than a minute.
The steps
- Take a sixty second passage.
- Mark the important point, the supporting point, the transition and the conclusion.
- Deliver it naturally.
- Deliver it again, varying pace, pause, stress and sentence length on purpose.
- Record both.
- Compare which sounds more natural and more purposeful.
- Repeat without consciously controlling every variation.
You know it worked when
The speech has rhythm and stays clear.
What else it works, and why
- Message
- Rhythm should follow the structure and the meaning.
- Presence
- Natural rhythm depends on your physical and mental state.
Which drill is yours, in what order and at what dose, is not something a page can tell you. That is what a Discovery Call is for.
