Feedback
Observation
Separate what happened from what you concluded about it.
The gapFeedback that arrives as opinion, accusation, or a judgement about the person.
When to use it
Before giving anybody feedback.
The steps
- Observe a communication performance.
- Write only what a camera would have recorded.
- Remove every interpretation. Not you were nervous, but you looked down three times while answering.
- Identify the likely effect separately.
- Turn the observation into something usable.
You know it worked when
You can describe the behaviour without going at the person.
What else it works, and why
- Connection
- An observation is only useful once it can be received.
Which drill is yours, in what order and at what dose, is not something a page can tell you. That is what a Discovery Call is for.
