The shape

  1. Strength
  2. Evidence
  3. Relevance

A worked example

One of my strengths is simplifying complex technical information. I regularly translate engineering issues for senior stakeholders. That is relevant here because the role sits between technical and business teams.

What usually goes wrong

A strength with no evidence, which is an adjective, and a strength with no relevance, which is a fact about somebody else's job.

A framework tells you what shape the answer takes. It cannot tell you whether shape is what you are short of, and for most people it is not. Which one is yours, and whether a framework is the right instrument at all, is what a Discovery Call is for.
