Conviction
Align what you believe with how you say it.
The gapSounding uncertain because the position underneath is not settled.
When to use it
Before defending anything you actually believe.
What you need
A partner willing to challenge it.
The steps
- Choose a position you genuinely hold.
- State it in one sentence.
- Write: why do I believe this?
- Identify the strongest reason.
- Identify the evidence or the experience behind it.
- Deliver the position.
- Partner challenges it.
- Defend the reasoning without hardening.
- Identify where the certainty weakened.
You know it worked when
You carry the conviction you have, without inventing certainty you do not.
What else it works, and why
- Intent
- Conviction has to attach to what you actually intend to stand for.
- Message
- It is expressed through a clear position and reasoning.
- Delivery
- Vocal certainty and physical commitment carry it.
