Communication identity
Identity anchor
Connect the behaviour you want to the person you are being.
The gapBehaviour that keeps returning because the identity underneath it did not move.
When to use it
When the same behaviour keeps coming back after being corrected.
The steps
- Identify where you struggle.
- Identify the internal statement: I am someone who ______.
- Identify how that affects your behaviour.
- Define the communication identity this needs.
- Convert it into observable behaviour.
- Create a short anchor phrase.
- Say it before communicating.
- Perform the behaviour.
- Review whether the identity supported it.
You know it worked when
The identity turns into an observable behaviour rather than a feeling.
What else it works, and why
- Intent
- Identity decides what you believe you are entitled to say.
- Connection
- Identity decides how you enter relational space with people.
Which drill is yours, in what order and at what dose, is not something a page can tell you. That is what a Discovery Call is for.
