A worked example
- Hook
- I learned the most important thing I know about leadership in a meeting where I said almost nothing.
- Story
- A brief account of what happened.
- Point
- Sometimes leadership starts with listening rather than demonstrating expertise.
What usually goes wrong
A hook that the story never pays off. The audience remembers being promised something.
Mostly serves Message, and reaches into Delivery and Connection.
A framework tells you what shape the answer takes. It cannot tell you whether shape is what you are short of, and for most people it is not. Which one is yours, and whether a framework is the right instrument at all, is what a Discovery Call is for.
