Communication identity
Belief to behaviour

The gapA rule you did not choose, running underneath the thing you keep doing.
When to use it
When a behaviour survives being corrected repeatedly.
The steps

- Identify the belief: if I ______, then ______.
- Identify the behaviour it produces.
- Identify the consequence.
- Test whether the belief is actually useful.
- Define a more useful operating belief.
- Define the behaviour that would follow.
- Rehearse it.
- Apply it.
- Review the result.
