When to use it

The steps
- Name the pattern.
- Name its trigger.
- Name the automatic response.
- Name the consequence.
- Choose the replacement behaviour.
- Create a cue you will notice.
- Rehearse the trigger.
- Interrupt the old response.
- Execute the replacement.
- Repeat under rising pressure.
You know it worked when
You catch the pattern early enough to change the response.

- The replacement is aligned to the outcome you want.
- Message
- The replacement may need a different way of structuring the response.
- Delivery
- The new behaviour is expressed differently.
- Connection
- The replacement has to produce a different result in the interaction.
