The drills

Diagnostic · Knowledge gap · 15 minutes · on your own

When to use it

Whenever something is not producing the result you intended.

The steps

  1. State the intended result.
  2. Observe the actual result.
  3. Identify the difference.
  4. Identify the behaviour responsible.
  5. Decide whether it is intent, message, delivery, presence or connection.
  6. Identify what should change.
  7. Modify one variable.
  8. Perform again.
  9. Compare.
  10. Keep, modify or replace the behaviour on the evidence.

You know it worked when

You change the specific variable rather than the intensity.

What else it works, and why

Intent
The variable responsible may be the objective.
Message
It may be the structure.
Delivery
It may be the expression.
Presence
It may be the state.
Connection
It may be the effect on the other person.

Which drill is yours, in what order and at what dose, is not something a page can tell you. That is what a Discovery Call is for.
