Presence
Ground, align, express
Get the physical state, the intention and the expression pointing the same way.
The shape
- Ground
- Align
- Express
Why that order
Presence is not appearance. External behaviour that is not connected to an internal intention is a performance, and under any real pressure it comes apart.
A worked example
- Ground
- Settle posture and breathing before going in.
- Align
- Name the intention: I want to address the issue without attacking the person.
- Express
- Say it directly and calmly.

Practise it
Knowing the shape is about ten minutes of work. Running it while somebody senior is looking at you is a different thing, and that is what these are for.
Mostly serves Presence, and reaches into Intent and Delivery.
A framework tells you what shape the answer takes. It cannot tell you whether shape is what you are short of, and for most people it is not. Which one is yours, and whether a framework is the right instrument at all, is what a Discovery Call is for.
