The frameworks

Delivery

Slow, clear, structured

Fix the three things nerves break, in the order they break.

Delivery · Capability framework · No. 200

The problem it addresses

Under pressure the pace goes first, articulation second, and structure last. Trying to fix structure while still speaking too fast fixes nothing.

The shape

  1. Slow, because pace is what goes first
  2. Clear, because articulation goes next
  3. Structured, because that is what pace was costing you

Why that order

The order is the whole framework. Slowing down is what buys the attention that clarity and structure need, so it has to come first even though it feels like the least important of the three.

A worked example

Take the pace down a step. Finish the ends of your words. Then say the two things, in order, rather than all of it at once.

What usually goes wrong

Slowing down and stopping there, which produces a person speaking slowly and still saying it in the wrong order.

Mostly serves Delivery, and reaches into Presence and Message.

A framework tells you what shape the answer takes. It cannot tell you whether shape is what you are short of, and for most people it is not. Which one is yours, and whether a framework is the right instrument at all, is what a Discovery Call is for.
